[Montreal, February 6, 2026] – The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Montreal held its prestigious 2026 Lunar New Year Reception tonight at the Holiday Inn Montreal Centreville Downtown. Community leaders and distinguished guests gathered in the Maple Ballroom to welcome the Year of the Horse.


Highlights of the Evening:

Official Address & Recognition: Consul General Dai Yuming delivered a keynote speech highlighting community ties and friendship. The ceremony included the presentation of donation certificates, honoring the philanthropic contributions of the local community.










The "Three Arts" of Pranacraft:

A major highlight was the cultural exhibition curated by the three principals of Pranacraft (J&T Culture). They presented a masterful display of Calligraphy, Traditional Flower Arrangement, and Tea Art, offering an immersive look into Chinese aesthetic traditions.


Cultural Exchange:

Following the immense popularity of last year’s session, the calligraphy booth once again became a center of attraction. Guests enjoyed the sensory journey of tea appreciation and the refined beauty of oriental floral designs, fostering deep cultural connections.
